While it’s definitely more expensive than the traditional Emerald paint, the great news is that it’s a self-priming one-coat paint, so you will not need as much to cover a room, which saves money in the long run in using less paint. Notice the white brick color too! It’s called White Sesame and it’s a dull very light warm gray.Īs far as the quality of the new Sherwin Williams Emerald Designer Edition paint, I have heard really great things about the product from several different paint contractors that I work with that have tried it as well. I also like Whisper, which is the darker wall color below. It’s just a stunning muted blue that doesn’t have too much pigmentation.Īnother pretty color is Warm Pewter. I’m also excited to use Serenely and all of the other colors on the Serenely paint color strip. It would lighten/brighten with hint of color on the wall. I’m thinking Guild Grey would be great in a home with not a lot of natural light. Guild Grey reminds me of a little a tad cooler Repose Gray. I think this color would make for the perfect whole home wall color in certain lighting conditions. Sherwin Williams used Succulent in this space beautifully on cabinetry with a color from the new collection called SW White Sail (I’m loving this subtle white).Īnother favorite that I cannot wait to try is Guild Grey, which is actually the lightest color on the Forged Steel color strip. Oh my gosh!! It’s so so beautiful! By the way, this color strip is amazing as well! Isn’t it stunning?Īt a very close second to my favorite Forged Steel is this GORGEOUS deep muddy green called Succulent. In fact, I’m going use this color on a whole home for all the interior doors on a client project I’m working on.

I am in LOVE with all of these colors on the strip and often times work from one strip to make sure all of the colors in a space work together (trim, door color, cabinetry, wall, etc.).įorged Steel is perfect for moody walls, cabinetry and interior doors. Sherwin Williams nailed that dreamy mix of brown/gray/charcoal color that I have wanted for a project and it’s perfection!īy the way, the other colors that I added to the collage above are from the paint color strip of Forged Steel. I can just tell you right now, we are going to be seeing A LOT of this color because it’s THAT good! Ironically, I have been trying to get a really good rich charcoal color by custom mixing and I have never been able to get it quite right. I’m already specifying several of the colors for my clients and I wanted to share my top favorite colors from the new collection to inspire you.Īt the top of my list is hands-down is Forged Steel SW9565. When I first looked at the fan deck, I pretty much gasped because Sherwin Williams nailed it and clearly tapped into what designers are looking for in developing this new collection! Every paint color strip is off the charts good! Because of the brighter white base, SW can apparently better achieve these hues. Sherwin Williams noted in their press release for the new collection that they based the new colors on requests from interior designer’s who want brighter whites, more complex grays/beiges and more muted tones. The reason for this is that the Emerald Designer paint line is formulated with a completely different “UltraWhite Base”, so if you did ask for these exclusive colors for other SW paints, you would not get the same color because the other white bases are completely different. These 200 new colors are exclusive to the Emerald Designer Edition paint and can’t be used with other Sherwin Williams paints. I’m just a paint geek excited to share with you what I learned researching this new line for my client projects. These colors and paint are now Sherwin Williams highest-end interior paint line.īefore I jump into the details, I want you guys to know that this post is NOT a sponsored post in any way.

I am really excited about today’s post because for the first time in years, Sherwin Williams has added 200 new GORGEOUS designer-influenced paint colors as part of a new exclusive one-coat/self priming paint collection called Emerald Designer Edition.
